Recoleta Cemetery

100% love it
Now you can finally see Evita in person
This famous cemetery is close to the Centro Cultural Borges, and the nice string of restaurants, bard, and ice-cream parlors in the heart of Recoleta. Check out the many elaborate marble mausoleums, statues, and architectural styles. Most notable internments are former president Raul Alfonsin (the "father" of democracy), writer Adolfo Bioy Casares, and Evita.

Recoleta Cemetery is a must see
Recoleta cemetery is a must see for any tourist. If you go on a Saturday, there is a nice art and craft market outside the cemetery. The cemetery is a labyrinth of mausoleums and can be overwhelming. We found a tour guide at the entrance that only charged us 45 pesos each for a private tour. It was worth every penny.
